Geoprobe® Services
MEA has owned and operated Geoprobe® rigs and equipment for over 25 years and has extensive experience in all aspects of environmental investigations. MEA is a licensed well driller in Pennsylvania (License #4510). Currently, MEA owns three fully equipped 7822DT track-mounted Geoprobe® drill rigs. Both rigs are compact and versatile, capable of performing direct push soil sampling as well as auger and air rotary drilling for the installation of overburden and bedrock wells.
Our Geoprobe® drill rigs and tooling provide the following capabilities:
DT22 Soil Sampling System — continuous soil core sampling through 2.25-inch outside diameter probe rod casing and 1.25-inch center rods, allowing discrete soil sample collection using dedicated 5-foot acetate sleeve liners.
6-inch diameter solid stem augers with multiple drill bit cutter head options suitable for varying overburden conditions.
8-inch and 10-inch diameter hollow stem augers for advancing boreholes in looser overburden conditions, allowing proper well construction without borehole collapse.
4-inch and 6-inch diameter air rotary hammers and tooling for the installation of bedrock wells to depths of up to 50 feet below ground surface.
Our experienced drilling team meets the requirements set forth by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and has completed the required 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training. We provide a full suite of drilling services, including soil sampling, monitoring well installation, and remediation well installation. By minimizing subcontractor involvement, we streamline project management and help ensure that project schedules are met in a timely manner.
Rates are available for both full-day and half-day operations.
